A’an Thalore is less a city than an encampment, despite its population, supporting around half the numbers of Restinu. Three square miles of land is littered with tent houses, haphazardly staked wherever they can fit, with no semblance of order, some so close together they share stakes. Though paths often travelled by foot and steed are clearly visible, no name or address is ever assigned, no true direction or regulation associated.
A’an Thalore was founded by its namesake, an early settler of Hyfaer whom followed Dratuna into the woods of Endoleth to learn to hunt and fight against the beasts Rytiock had birthed, in defense of elvenkind, dwarvenkind and humanity. When A’an returned to his settlement, he was battered and broken from the hunt, and no grace was left in him to live within the rules of his people’s society. A’an left his settlement to the North and found the valley where he and others like him could find a reprieve from the woes of societal standards, where they could hunt and thrive, where only the strongest survived.
