Stouthearth

The home and origin of every dwarf in Hyfaer, Stouthearth lies within the innards of Mount Keel, the largest of mountains surrounding Edes’ Landing. Here Thane Thoris Grimsprinter rules the cavernous kingdom, exporting the lion’s share of all ore and gemstones within the world. It is said that when Edes landed, the stone roofs above the heads of the dwarves collapsed and gave them their short stocky bodies.

The city beneath Mount Keel boasts a population rivaling Restinu, forcing the dwarven miners to continuously dig deeper just to accommodate the population growth. Thus, every citizen of Stouthearth is conscripted into either military service or mining service for 50 years of their lives. This also gives the Thane the honor of leading the most elite force within all of the known world. It is here that the Edesian Guard, an inquisitorial law bringing society, trains and calls home.
